Darko Markovic

BIO

Darko Markovic, alias Dar-Mar, is a Serbian 3D concept designer with a huge experience in cars, industrial products and game/movie design. Selected between many designers, he obtained the Lamborghini scholarship in Milano, Italy, where he completed his master’s degree. Upon graduation, he worked for one year as a car designer. He was considered a major talent in the design industry, but unfortunately, he had to leave car design due to the passport problems that third world country citizens usually have. This would make most people quit, but Dar-Mar didn’t. He became more determined to succeed in this industry and it only made him work harder and lead him to win the Artstation challenge in 2016. Since then he is a well-known name in the industry of design. Some of his clients were Appeal Studios, Atomhawk design, Mathematics Studio, Alliance Studio and producers of USA/Australia upcoming Hollywood titles, etc

At the moment he is working on his personal book project called INSIDE 44. It has 300 pages of designed characters, vehicles, weapons, scenery and everything is explained as unique universe.

How INSIDE 44 made me understand importance of personal projects

Darko Markovic darmar will lead us trough his very unique career path. He was left alone, without anything – and nobody believed in him, so he started doing personal project INSIDE 44, which helped him develop his art career.
Main point of lecture is to understand that only way to be happy is to be yourself.

 

WORKSHOP

Hardsurface design 101

On this workshop we will touch subjects how to design functional Hard surface design, that looks good. You will be presented tricks that make designs stand out, and function. Form has to follow function – it doesn’t matter if its movie,game or real life hard surface design – this is a must.
We will go from functionality, what it is and how you can apply it to enrich your design.  After that we shall talk about aesthetics, and some rules that can be mathematically applied to your object. Main point of class is – how to think as hard surface designer, but this can be applied to any design field.
